DeVoe Beach Park

This township park is located on a large shallow cove at the mouth of Indian River and Burt Lake. It is just a short walk from the middle of downtown Indian River.

Features & Events

The park has a large sandy beach and picnic area, and is the home of our annual 4th of July fireworks display, the Top O’ Michigan Boat Races, and the Indian River Chamber of Commerce family night during Summerfest.

Veterans Pier

A universally accessible, barrier-free fishing pier has been constructed at the DeVoe Beach Park. The pier was named Veterans Pier to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans.

Veterans Pier is an ideal place to just sit and relax, cast a line, or watch a beautiful sunset. It is a tremendous asset to our community as it enhances outdoor recreation and promotes the inland waterway as well as the entire Indian River area.
