Neumann’s Loafers Retreat offers lakefront cottages for rent on Long Lake, located near Alpena, in northeastern Michigan. This retreat accommodates vacationers looking for a relaxing area to fish and have family time. The Alpena area provides great fishing, annual events, shopping, and dining. Come discover why everyone calls Neumann’s Loafers Retreat “A Northern Michigan Vacation Oasis”!

We have three cottages on the lakefront. A larger cottage, The Loon, sits back from the beach and affords a bit more privacy. All cottages have kitchens, living areas with sleeper sofas, bathrooms with showers, docks with a furnished rowboat, and sleep 6 people. Our Cottages for Rent page provides details of each cottage available. The Ryne, The Villa, and The Fog are on the lake front. The Loon is set farther back by the road but still has a dock available.

Cottages rent weekly from Saturday to Saturday with a check-in time of 2:00 pm and a check-out time of 10:00 am. Nightly rentals are also available. A $100 deposit is required (due at the time of booking) to hold your reservation.
