Pine River Cemetery

The Pine River Cemetery is located in section 8 of Standish Township of Arenac County. When visiting the cemetery, travel east from the intersection of US 23 and M-61 (which becomes Pine River Road when heading east). Go 6 miles on Pine River Road. The cemetery is just before the intersection of Pine River Road and Arenac State Road on the south side of Pine River Road (just across the bridge). The cemetery is a 7 + 17 acre parcel which runs along the Pine River. The landscape is graced with the aged Oak trees of a one-time area farm. The cemetery is controlled and maintained by the Standish Township Board. Graves date from the 1830s.
