Seagull Point Park
The City’s largest park, Seagull Point, consists of 43 acres and a mile of Lake Huron shoreline. A perfect place to view a sunset, the park features a 1.5-mile bark-surface trail system allowing nature enthusiasts the perfect means to view the unique dune formations, vegetation, and wildlife. Picnic tables, grills, a fire pit, and portable toilet facilities are available in the summer, and an access ramp makes the beach area accessible to most users.
Birding Site: North side of Rogers City off Forest Avenue, turn onto a paved access road to the park and a city pumping station. Adequate parking is available here. The park is accessible from the Huron Sunrise paved bike trail.
Scan the beach and open water of Lake Huron. This easily accessible site offers very good waterfowl migration in the spring and fall. Harlequin Ducks have been recorded here rarely in October. Bald Eagles regularly frequent the shoreline.
