Historic Cemetery

Sims Whitney and Sims Family Cemeteries are nestled in a wooded area on Lake Huron in section 2 of Sims Township.  To visit the Sims Family Cemetery: Travel 5 miles north on US 23 from the AuGres River Bridge in the City of AuGres to the northeast corner of US 23 and Crescent Avenue; the cemetery is on the lake side of the road. To visit Sims Whitney Cemetery: travel 4/10 of a mile beyond the Sims Family Cemetery; the cemetery is also on the lake side of the road. 

Graves date to the 1890s.
