South Branch Trail Camp

National Forest Campground that accommodates campers with horses.

South Branch Trail Camp serves the 240-mile cross-state Michigan Shore-to-Shore Horseback Riding and Hiking Trail. The camp primarily serves campers with horses using the trail system; however, everyone is welcome. South Branch Trail Camp is adjacent to the South Branch River, which contains brown trout and is within 1.5 miles of the Au Sable River.

Hours: The campground usually opens May 1 and stays open until mid-November.
