Resembling a pair of eyeglasses in shape, the rocks of Spectacle Reef lie just seven feet below the surface of Lake Huron at a point eleven miles east of the Mackinac Straits. The light is best viewed from a boat. It is owned by the Coast Guard and the tower is closed.
