The intersection of Co. Rd. 451 and Co. Rd. 634, and head west on Co. Rd. 634 for 4.7 miles. Note: after 3.3 miles, Co. Rd. 634 bends to the left (south) at a poorly marked intersection.) After 4.7 miles from Co. Rd. 451, the east-west Lake Emma Grade begins. At 0.5 miles after the start of the grade, there is a two-track off to the right (north). This is on state land. Travel slowly along the Lake Emma Grade, searching each side of the road for marsh birds. Soras, a rare Least Bittern, and Sedge Wrens have been recorded here.

Note this is not located on Lake Emma; the old road grade crosses the southern end of Sportsman’s Lake and its associated marshland.
