DARK SKY NIGHT AT NEGWEGON STATE PARK

Join the Friends of Negwegon State Park in coordination with the Michigan DNR and with support from the Besser Museum for an unforgettable evening of astronomy, stargazing, and dark sky education along the Lake Huron shoreline.
Weather permitting, participants may have opportunities to observe:
• Saturn
• Venus
• The Crescent Moon
• Perseid meteor activity
• Constellations and deep sky objects

Location: Negwegon State Park main beach area. Negwegon State Park can be reached from the north by taking Wilds Road off U.S. 23 for approximately 5.5 miles to State Park Road. From the south, visitors can take U.S. 23 to Black River Road, then travel about 3 miles north on Sand Hill Road to State Park Road. Sand Hill and Wilds Road are seasonal roads; however, they are pretty well maintained this time of year.
