The Cheboygan Opera House welcomes this authentic tribute to one of the biggest rock supergroups of all time, headed by Michigan-based songwriter and poet Max Lockwood, and featuring Lockwood’s friends and collaborators—all veterans and stars of Michigan’s vibrant music scene.

The Traveling Wilburys were formed in 1988 by rock legends George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne—possibly the strongest lineup in rock history—but they managed to avoid the pretentious self-importance of previous supergroups. In Tom Petty's words: "It was a bunch of friends that just happened to be really good at making music."
